Brief History of CSCQC

The College of St. Catherine Quezon City, formerly St. Theresa’s School of Baesa, was founded by Mr. Tomas Maningding Jr. and Dr. Arlene S.C. Maningding with the vision of providing accessible, values-oriented education to the local community. Established as a non-stock educational institution on March 22, 1993, under the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, the school began with a tri-level program offering pre-elementary, elementary, and secondary education.

From its modest beginnings in a single school building, the institution steadily grew in response to increasing enrollment, leading to the construction of an annex facility. This growth reflected not only the trust of the community but also the school’s unwavering commitment to educational excellence..

Anchored in its mission, the institution promotes the holistic development of learners by nurturing their physical, intellectual, and spiritual capacities, as well as their emotional and social well-being, toward becoming responsible and productive citizens.

In School Year 2004–2005, the institution formally adopted the name College of St. Catherine Quezon City, marking the establishment of its collegiate department. Initially offering Bachelor of Secondary Education and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, the College expanded its academic programs to include Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Elementary Education, and various Technical-Vocational courses in response to the evolving needs of its stakeholders.

Through the years, the College of St. Catherine Quezon City has grown into a dynamic educational institution, steadfast in its commitment to its founding vision and its mission of service through quality education.
